Mind Wide Open!

I just found this gorgeous place, it is called Mind Wide Open.
They provide an image and you have to use it. You are welcome to re-size it to fit your needs, or alter it in any manner as long as it is some way recognizeable as the image Gail provided.
Gail is the owner of Shabby Cottage Studio, a wonderful online store.
I made an ATC:

Used Ranger's Distress Ink: Victorian Velvet, Mustard Seed and  Dusty Concord for the background. Added some script to the background with a template by Crafter's Workshop and Perfect Pearls Mist (Blue Patina).
To age the borders I used Distress Ink: Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.
The wings are a freebie from Far Far Hill, did some fussy cutting and added Stickles for that glittery effect.
to finish my ATC, added some vintage lace, pearls, pink bow, and a resin flower cabochon.

Thanks!

Happy Birthday!

A friend asked for a Birthday card and she said that the theme of the party is Under the Sea.
Of course, I thought, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, my daughters loved this movie, and so did I.
Used this image from A Day For Daisies and colored it with Copics.
Created different layers and added some Ric Rac ribbon trim and jewels to finish this sweet card.
Here it is:

Simplify!!!

I love challenges
I have to admit that they have that driving force that keeps me thinking, hum, how can I do this, or, will it work if I do it this way???
This card was a real challenge.. I had to make a card with one layer and one embellishment.
That is the first challenge over at a new forum, Lady Anne’s Paper Crafts.
Was it hard, let me think... yeeeeeeeeeeeees, I love layers and adding embellies. Then I had an idea and of course I thought it was brilliant, only to find out that it did not work, back to thinking and then it came to me: Keep it simple!
I hope you like it:

For this project I used the following {ippity} stamp sets: Bloom and Simplify and Now and Always. Colored the flower with Distress Markers and used Distress Ink around the card, feel it adds some depth.
For the final touch I added by the bow.

Tea Time...

Hi everyone!
I had some free time and created an ATC for the current challenge at A Day For Daisies:

This is my entry:

Don't you love the image. The image is from the collection Vintage Story Telling.
Used Distress ink around the border, adds the aged feel. Love the pom-pom border and the tea drops (jewels) pouring from the teapot. That cute flower adds the perfect finishing touch.
