Challenge #5: The Whole Story... at Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space
This has been so much fun. The final chapter of this series of challenges is here and boy was it a challenge.
Here are the rules:
Take the background you created over the last two weeks and make a Father's Day layout. Your layout can be made to insert into an album, as a wall hanging, or inside of a shadow box. Your layout must include the following elements:
- Handmade flowers -- at least 3.
- A hand colored digital image -- at least 1.
- A photograph -- at least 1.
- Butterflies -- at least 3.
For the past two weeks I have been learning two mixed media techniques:
Credit Card Painting and
Serendipity. Part of the instructions were to leave the project created untouched so that we could use it for the following week's challenge.
From the beginning I knew who I wanted to honor through this LO: my dear husband and of course a great dad!
There was just a tiny little problem: Didn't have a clue as of what I was going to do!!!
As days passed, inspiration came to me and a sketch was born.
I had to have at least three butterflies and since I couldn’t make up my mind on the patterned paper, decided to paint some more paper, heat embossed it with gold embossing powder and die cut them.
The flowers are simple handmade lollipop flowers.
The background paper created in Challenge 3 and 4 are the accent pieces on my LO and bring everything together.
Here it is:
