Butterflies!

Strange things happen…today I said to myself let’s make another card…went to my crafting desk…and…blank, NO IDEAS!!!

Nothing!!!
Played around with different stamps, looked at my papers, ribbons, buttons and…no inspiration.
Hum!
Then, it happened! Saw this beautiful butterfly in my garden and I felt inspired again.
Used Unity Stamps sets: Fall for You and Now & Always to create this card.
Paper pieced the butterflies and colored the bodies with Copic markers; added patterned paper, ribbon, some bling and a beautiful button to finish it up.

Smile!!!

A new card! I have to admit that I have a Cricut and I do not know how many cartridges, but I don’t use it as much as I should.

Thanks to some great blogs I have rediscovered my love for this machine.
One of those cartridges I have barely used is Preserves, but I am made my second card with it and have to admit that it is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

A very special color challenge!

When I saw the color combo...uh...thought this is impossible, no way I can do something with this colors. Days passed and no ideas came to me, really not a clue as of what to do.

Then found this gorgeous image (The Stamping Boutique) and it all came together.

The color combo:

Add Doddles

Vintage tag!

This tag is a work of love. I had started working on it sometime ago and always felt it was incomplete. Finally I’m happy. It looks just as I wanted.
Flowers are my passion and most of the flowers on this tag are handmade.
The beaded elements were fun to put together; I feel it gives the tag that little something romantic.
The button are from my collection, don’t know why, but I love collecting them.
Here is the tag:

Would love to share some of the details:

Enjoy the little things!

This week’s challenge at Sentimental Sundays is Focus on the Sentiment, at first I thought this is really easy; and then I had to put together the card … not so easy.

After a long search I decided to use this one and I love the card!!!

Imagination is boundless!

The Outlawz has this color combo as part of a challenge and I decided to make an Artist Trading Card (ATC). They also asked that we use a gold embellishment.

Used a stamp set from Tim Holtz for the background and sentiment.

A not so traditional Christams card!

This is not your traditional Christmas card. The Outlawz had this color combo as part of a challenge and I decided to do a Christmas card. They also asked that we use Stickles.

The die cut ornament was made with my Cricut machine and the Christmas Cheer cartridge.
The panel were made with the Serendipity Technique.

Happy Birthday!!!

A friend asked for a special card for her son, it's his ninth birthday and he wants a big birthday party. He wants to be a fireman and by coincidence I have a digi by Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Fireman Number 9.

The coloring was done with Prisma Coloring Pencils, which I had not used for a while.
The sketch was from The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Blog.

Christmas in July!

Who doesn’t remember Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer? Loved the story and have to admit: I have the movie and I like to watch it while decorating the Christmas tree. Of course I know I am an adult, but well what better moment to be a kid again, than Christmas.
Had to make a card when I saw this image. It is from Digital Delights and is called Rodney Reindeer. The sketch is from Card Patterns Weekly Challenge blog.

Summer Fun!

It is so hot!!!

My neighbor’s kids are playing in the backyard in a small inflatable pool and they are having so much fun, you can hear them laughing all the time.
That inspired me for this card.
The image is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. The background paper is from Martha Stewart and I fell it complements the image perfectly. I used my Cricut machine to cut the background circles and the image, and the rectangles for the sentiment (Plantin SchoolBook cartridge).

Cowboy Christmas!

Had this gorgeous digi from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and made this cute Christmas card, I am sure any kid would love to receive it.

The icicles are from a metal sheet, very similar to aluminum foil, a little heavier. Added some brads to the sentiment for some dimension.
The buckle was heat embossed with silver embossing powder, for the added metallic touch.

Layers and a splash of color!

This card is a simple and elegant one. Did some layering and used three basic colors black, white and a splash of red. The white panels were dry embossed (Stylized Flowers folder). The image is from the AiFactory.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for...

ICE CREAM!
We all remember singing this and it was so much fun, well actually it is still fun!

I found this gorgeous ice cream cone in the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge and couldn’t resist but make a card.
Of course I love strawberry ice cream with chocolate syrup, so the color of choice was pink and obviously brown.
Inked all edges to add some dimension and then what else but sprinkles, very bright and shiny.

Enjoy the journey card...

This card is for someone really special who is going on a very private journey! Sometimes life takes us through very strange roads and all we have to do is live the moment and learn from each experience.

The image is from Digital Two for Tuesday and the sketch is from Card Patterns. The buttons add the final touch and compliment the card very well.

Triple Project

A Day for Daisies (ADFD) is hosting a challenge: "triple" projects!
Of course the image has to be from ADFD, and they are giving away a wonderfu set of digis that can be used for the challenge.
I love ADFD images and they just  "re-released" three previous gorgeous sets, the Cupcake Collection and the Triple Scoop Collection, as well as the Strawberry Birthday Cake Fairy! This sets are just sweet!
For my projects I made a card, a mini notebook and an ATC (Artist Trading Card).

Vintage - Shabby Chic

This card has a Vintage - Shabby Chic look. The image is from A Day For Daisies and it is so beautiful, that I just did some light coloring to highlight the details of the flower.
The butterfly is a rubber stamp from Studio G and was heat embossed, cut out and then added some dimension with Stickles.
