Started the New Year with a new challenge for me and thought it would be fun to share: use 1 image and make 4 cards.

New Design Team and First Challenge!!!

Hi everyone!

I have some wonderful news, I've been invited to join Crafting By Designs as a DT and of course said: Yes!

Crafting By Designs is a a fun place to share your creativity, chat with your friends, join a challenge or two and try new techniques.

The theme of the challenge I am hosting during this month is:

Valentines

Create a valentine for that special someone, mom, dad, daughter, son, sister, brother, etc.

for my first one I created metal accents by embossing a piece of tooling aluminum (Maid-ó-Metal) and then covered two chipboard heart die cuts (Sizzix, Tipsy Hearts). Used some pattina paint (Metallic Art - Gem Crafts) to age the hearts and some bling. Distressed the border of the DP with Ranger Distress Ink (Fired Brick).

I'm entering this card in the following challenges: CFC34 - Create a Clean And Simple project using chipboard at Cas-ual Fridays and Bling it up at Some Odd Girls.

My second valentine is a simple card. Used my Cricut and Plantin SchoolBook cartridge to cut the circles and heart shapes. Added some glitter to the heart for bling and made a tag using the ippity stamp set: Your Friendship, My Cup of Tea.

Enjoy the little things!

This week’s challenge at Sentimental Sundays is Focus on the Sentiment, at first I thought this is really easy; and then I had to put together the card … not so easy.

After a long search I decided to use this one and I love the card!!!

This is a sweet card. The image is from StampFairy and is so cute and spring looking that I couldn’t resist. For embellishment three beautiful paper flowers from Prima and some jewels.

New projects...



Time flies, or so they say. Each day I plan to do a million things and by the end of the day I realize that most of them are still pending.

This past week I was able to make some cards and posted them on Simply Scrapping Crafts (SSC) Site as part of the challenges.



March 2, 2011 Card Challenge: Stamp a background, but make it (at least partly) your cards focal point



March 4, 2011 CAS Challenge: make a 3-D effect as the focus of your card.

  

I also worked on a very special project: an accordion card.  Each detail made me fall in love with it.  The dig stamp is beautiful, and the flowers were handmade.

The base of the card was made with the Design Studio and my Cricut.

The flowers were made using the Cricut to cut out the shape.  Here is a link for the tutorial.

Some embossing was done on the cover of the card, as a background accent.

Each page has a special detail, they are interactive and fun.
